How the money raised helps those with JIA
Thank you for your interest in #WearPurpleforJIA 2019 and for helping to raise funds and awareness of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA)! All funds raised as part of the #WearPurpleforJIA 2019 campaign will be used to benefit all young people living with JIA and their families, across the UK, who need the support of JIA-at-NRAS services. These services include:

Family Fun & Information Days held across the UK, with activities for young people living with JIA and their siblings and information sessions for parents led by healthcare professionals

Family Residential Weekends held across the UK, with confidence building activities for young people living with JIA and their siblings and information sessions for parents led by healthcare professionals

Adolescent Activity Days where teenagers living with JIA can have fun and share their experiences with like-minded peers who understand what they are going through

Development of free educational materials which explain about medications, transition from children’s services to adult healthcare and mental well-being

Development of free information resources for schools and healthcare professionals

Campaigning to improve services in Paediatric Rheumatology in parts of the country where there is a need to improve services
Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (JIA) is a serious auto immune inflammatory disease which can have a devastating impact on the day-to-day lives of those affected and their families. Your support will help raise awareness of this condition and directly benefit those affected.
